I’m always happy to come along and talk – about The Summer Of Secrets, writing, getting published, living on a boat, and so on – at book groups, festivals, literature events, conferences. It can be more difficult getting me to shut up, mind.

18th August: Just Write Summer Party, with Writing Magazine.

24th August: Cream tea and author chat at Stockfest 16, the fabulously eclectic arts festival in Stockcross village, near Newbury.

20th September: Skype chat with Being Anne‘s book group.

5th October: Tea, cake and talk at Eastcote House Gardens with Fleur Smithwick and Hillingdon Libraries

8th April: Local author event at Weaver Words, the Frodsham Literature Festival.

March through to June: Baileys Prize Shadow Panel.

20th Feb: The Book Club on Facebook (TBConFB) 2nd Northern Meetup in Leeds.

16th February: Guest of Literature and Laughter for Ladies, Manchester’s finest book group. (If you think yours is better, invite me along and convince me!).

20th January: Guest speaker at the LJMU lunchtime reading series, talking about getting published and using social media to help with writing development.

23rd November: Headlining at Verbose in Manchester as part of Revolutions, the new anthology from the Manchester Speculative Fiction group.

22nd November: Banbury Literary Live along with fellow Prime Writer Louise Walters, discussing our books and the strengths of using a split time narrative, the benefits of getting published at a later stage in life and the challenge of writing around family commitments.

6th November: Part of a panel discussion about getting published at the National Creative Writing Graduate Day in Manchester, with Comma Press in association with the Manchester Writing School.

5th November: International Anthony Burgess Foundation with The Writing School at MMU, in discussion with fellow MMU graduates, and Prime Writers, Graeme Shimmin and Kerry Hadley.

20th October: Hilary’s Book Group, Eastbourne

17th October: Swindon Central Library, in assoc. with the Reading Passport 2015. A great review from the event here
